Sugar Coated was written as a frustrated observation to how we process news as entertainment and how we can succumb to living in a highly customized and anxiety inducing media reality that normalizes the extreme and rewards the cruel to the point where you become numb from sensory overload and a feeling of powerlessness. The antidote to that feeling has been a pursuit of empathy, self-reflection and creativity that should resonate truth on a personal level while hopefully inspiring others to do the same. But if I’m wrong about that don’t sugarcoat it.
